PATAGONIA PRÄSENTIERT EINE REIHE VON KURZFILMEN ÜBER DIE FREUDE AN DER BEWEGUNG IM SCHNEE

Im Januar 2026 veröffentlicht Patagonia eine Reihe von Kurzfilmen, die sich den Freuden des Schneesports widmen. Von der Magie des perfekten Turns über technisches Freeriden im Backcountry bis hin zur Kraft der Leidenschaft und Gemeinschaft in einer alten Mühle in Frankreich – jeder Film erzählt eine Geschichte darüber, was uns die Zeit in der Natur schenken kann und wie transformativ menschliche Bewegung sein kann.
Die Snow Movie Nights touren durch Europa und feiern die Geschichten und Charaktere, die die Snow-Community ausmachen, und erinnern uns daran, warum es wichtig ist, den Winter zu schützen.

An jedem Tourstopp werden Ambassadors, Filmemacher und NGO-Partner Gespräche über die einfache Freude am Gleiten auf Schnee und die gemeinsame Verantwortung, die wir für den Erhalt dieser Orte haben, sprechen.

Le Moulin des Artistes – Regie: Pierre Cadot
Manche Menschen verdienen ihren Lebensunterhalt mit ihrem Handwerk. Andere können ohne es nicht leben. In einer Mühle aus dem 16. Jahrhundert im Tal von Chamonix betreiben Peter und Anati Le Moulin des Artistes: eine Skiwerkstatt, einen Kunstraum und einen Treffpunkt für gleichgesinnte Freigeister.

Simple as a Turn – Regie: Pierre Cadot
Für Nicholas Wolken ist der Turn mehr als nur die Grundlage des Snowboardens. Es ist der einfachste Ausdruck dessen, worum es beim Snowboarden geht. Von seiner Profikarriere bis hin zur Entwicklung von Snowboards, die speziell für Turns konzipiert sind, hat er einen Großteil seines Lebens damit verbracht, das intensive Gefühl zu suchen, das das Carven auf Schnee mit sich bringt. 

DIG – Regie: Nicholas Teichrob

Eine 1.200 Meter hohe Wand hinunterzufahren ist eine Sache, aber hinaufzuwandern ist eine ganz andere Herausforderung. Der Höhenunterschied ist so extrem, dass selbst ein kleiner Schneeball schnell zu einer gefährlichen Lawine werden kann und sich die Schneequalität innerhalb weniger Schritte unerwartet ändern kann.

Die Filme werden am 16. Januar in Salzburg, Österreich, uraufgeführt, bevor sie durch europäische Städte und Schneelocations touren:

PATAGONIA PRESENTS A SERIES OF SHORT FILMS ON THE JOY OF SNOW MOTION

This January, Patagonia will release a series of short films dedicated to the joys of moving on snow. From the magic of mastering a turn, to technical freeriding in the backcountry, to the power of passion and community in an ancient mill in France, each piece is a tale of what time in nature can give us—and how transformative human-powered movement can be.

Touring across Europe, the snow movie nights will celebrate the stories and characters that make up the snow community and remind us why protecting winters matters. At each stop, Patagonia ambassadors, filmmakers and NGO partners will open conversations about the simple joy of sliding on snow and the shared responsibility we have in caring for the places we get to play in.

Le Moulin des Artistes – directed by Pierre Cadot

Some people make a living from their craft. Others can’t live without it. In a 16th century mill in the Chamonix valley, Peter and Anati run Le Moulin des Artistes: a ski workshop, art space, and gathering place for like-minded free spirits.

Simple as a Turn – directed by Pierre Cadot

For Nicholas Wolken, turning is more than snowboarding’s foundation. It’s the simplest expression of what riding is all about. And from going pro to shaping snowboards made for turns, he’s spent much of his life chasing the deep feelings that come with carving on snow.

DIG – directed by Nicholas Teichrob*

Riding down a 4,000-foot face is one thing but hiking up is a whole other level of gnarly. The vertical relief is so extreme that even a small snowball can quickly grow into a dangerous slide, and the snow quality could unexpectedly change in the space of a few steps.

The films will premiere in Salzburg, Austria, on 16 January before touring across European cities and snow locations.
